  8. The Association of North American Radio Clubs (ANARC) was founded
  9. in 1964 to foster closer ties among radio clubs;  to promote the
  10. interchange of information and ideas among member clubs;  to work
  11. for the common good of listeners;  and to provide a medium to speak
  12. out for radio clubs and listeners in North America.  All the clubs
  13. forming ANARC are responsible volunteer organizations.  No license
  14. is needed for the activities our clubs pursue.  This list gives 
  15. each club's areas of interest, dues and address.

  17. From time to time, however, clubs adjust their dues or change their 
  18. mail address.  It is a good idea to verify the address and fees by
  19. writing to the club before sending money.  If you want a reply, 
  20. include a self-addressed stamped envelope with your inquiry.

  31.   DX:  Long-distance reception.
  32.   FM:  FM broadcasting (88-108 MHz).
  33.   Ham:  Monitoring of Amateur Radio stations.

  35.   LW:  Longwave band (below 540 kHz).
  36.   MW:  AM broadcasting (540-1705 kHz).
